Xandika is an innovation house launched between Jody Varney and Peter Sage in January 2014.  We have been set up based on Jody's work on a number of inventions, Peter's marketing and strategy skills and the arrival of 3d Printers and Kickstarter.

Researching 3d Printers

We have been researching 3d printers this week. With various open source technologies and many in budget technologies, there are a lot of options available. Currently we are outsourcing this process to 3rd parties.

Bike Rack Concepts

Plans for Composting Toilets

The plans for the compost toilet are well into production.  The plans are nearing the prototype phase.  The toilets can be used in 3rd world disaster zones and are made from blow moulded plastic. There is more information on our website.

The completition of the Off Grid Prototype

Jody Varney has developed his off the grid property in Benfeita, Northern Portugal.  The house runs almost entirely on renewable energy sources from wind to solar, it has its own compostable toilets and uses the natural streams as a water source. It houses a family of five.
